Howard Bank’s Columbia branch is the second location designed using the bank’s new kiosk system. The centralized approach fosters community engagement and highlights a nimble, open approach to banking. In lieu of traditional teller lines, the kiosk provides all services needed, while a break away desk and office give customers and bank associates space to continue longer conversations. 

One of the client’s main goals for the project was to highlight the open curbside approach while also making a connection to the building interior. Creating a canopy over the kiosk area, floating steel ceiling panels relate to a design feature of the building’s elevator lobby.  The language of the glass office and corrugated metal walls continues the vocabulary of the Remington Row branch location.
